19 June 2012 – The Federal Court of Australia has granted orders allowing the Administrators to extend the convening period for the second meetings of creditors by up to six months. Further details are given in the ‘Creditors Meetings’ section below.
14 June 2012 – Employees of the Hastie Group Limited and its Australian subsidiaries who have lost their employment as a consequence of the companies entering Administration are now able to submit a GEERS claim. Further information for employees is now available in ‘Related Downloads’
Ian Carson, David McEvoy and Craig Crosbie of PPB Advisory were appointed voluntary administrators of Hastie Group Ltd ACN 112 803 040 (ASX: HST) and 43 associated entities on 28 May 2012.
Representatives of McGrathNicol were also appointed Receivers and Managers of 11 Hastie Group companies of which PPB Advisory representatives are Administrators. McGrathNicol therefore has control over those entities.

Following an urgent assessment of the financial position of the Hastie Group by the Administrators, they have determined that the Hastie Group is unable to recommence trading. The Administrators are in negotiations with several parties for the purchase of certain Hastie Group assets and businesses. Further details will be provided at the forthcoming meetings of creditors.
