Tim Reardon joins PwC Australia to help shape the future of transport and drive the precincts that bring Australia together

PwC Australia has appointed Tim Reardon as national transport and precincts leader.

Reardon, the former Secretary of the New South Wales Department of Premier and Cabinet, held the most senior role in the state’s public service for four years at one of the most challenging times in its history, helping guide New South Wales through the height of the pandemic.

Prior to becoming Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, he was Secretary of Transport for New South Wales, leading one of the largest pipelines of major transport infrastructure projects NSW has ever seen.

Reardon joins PwC Australia at a time of immense growth for its Integrated Infrastructure business, which delivers the end-to-end expertise for the infrastructure projects building Australia.

In his national role, Reardon will spearhead PwC Australia’s transport and precincts offerings, combining his rare expertise in leading large and complex teams, strategic planning and project delivery to support better community and economic outcomes, including via the delivery of some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Australia.

As Australia recovers from the worst impacts of COVID-19, transport and precinct infrastructure will be pivotal to recalibrating state and national economies, and catering to the new ways Australians live, work and play.

“I’m incredibly excited to have the opportunity to play a key role in helping rethink the way we as a nation approach infrastructure - there’s never been a better time to stop and take stock of how our precincts, our transport connections and the urban regeneration of our cities are best intertwined,” said Reardon.

“The pandemic has turned on its head many of the societal norms when it comes to the way we live our lives and move around, while our transition to net zero emissions means we are constantly required to rethink how our cities, precincts and regions work - as leaders in Australia’s infrastructure planning and delivery, it’s incumbent on us to keep pace with this change.”

PwC Australia Integrated Infrastructure lead partner Peter Konidaris said: “Tim Reardon joins PwC Australia at an exciting time for our firm, with our Integrated Infrastructure business now home to 61 partners and 470 staff across Australia. Infrastructure strategy, delivery and reform is at the forefront of what we do, and Tim will provide an exceptional platform for the diverse skills of our market leading practice.”

“Tim Reardon is one of Australia’s most valuable and highly-regarded experts in his field, and we are enormously excited about the leading role he will help play in building the Australia of tomorrow.”

Reardon begins on February 14.
