PwC Australia today announced 67 new partner admissions, taking the total number of partners to 937. This is a significant increase from previous January 1 admissions and the largest intake ever announced by the firm at this time of year.
In addition to these 67 new internal partners, the firm has also welcomed 18 lateral hire partners to the partnership since 1 July 2022, totalling 85 new partners announced since the start of the fiscal year.
Within the businesses, Assurance has announced 22 new partners (33%), Consulting has announced 14 new partners (21%) and Financial Advisory has announced 31 partners (46%).
PwC Australia CEO Tom Seymour said, “We're promoting more partners across our whole business than ever before at this time because we believe there are great opportunities in the market and we have a strong depth of talent to maximise these opportunities. The breadth of capabilities and experience in this new partner cohort reflects the demand in our core businesses which are experiencing strong revenue growth to date.
“We continue our commitment to build trust and help our clients solve important problems, especially in the areas of economic and government reform, cybersecurity, energy transition, as well as skills shortage, cloud and digitisation, and regulatory complexity.
“While there’s also some volatility ahead of us including high inflation, rising interest rate rises and other economic pressures, we think the increased complexity in the market will create strong demand for our world class offerings. This is why we’re backing our own people and recognising the incredible depth of talent we have at PwC.
“Our people are our greatest asset and this is a considerable investment in our firm - it’s a testament to the strength of our business, our growth ambitions and our ongoing organic growth over a number of years.
“We’re continuing to accelerate our efforts to make our partnership more diverse and inclusive, with 39% of the 67 new partners being women and 36% are from a non-European Diverse Cultural Background.
“We’re thrilled to welcome this diverse and talented group of exceptional leaders to our partnership and congratulate them on this significant achievement.”
