PwC Australia’s Integrated Infrastructure recognised at the Infrastructure Partnerships Australia National Infrastructure Awards

PwC Australia’s Integrated Infrastructure team has been recognised for its contribution to the infrastructure sector in 2021/22, winning two awards at the prestigious Infrastructure Partnerships Australia National Infrastructure Awards.

Held in Melbourne, the awards acknowledge the excellence and innovation in the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Australia.

The Integrated Infrastructure projects to win top honours on the night include the “Australia-Asia PowerLink - Integrated Project Delivery Team”, which took out the Advisory Excellence Award, as well as the “Establishment of the North East Link State Tolling Corporation”, which won the Financial Excellence category.

“We are delighted to be recognised at these illustrious awards for the excellent work our teams have done this year on some of the biggest and most decisive projects shaping our nation. Sun Cable’s complex and ambitious Australia-Asia PowerLink project is unlike anything previously developed - and will make a generational impact on Australia and Singapore,” said Integrated Infrastructure lead partner, Peter Konidaris.

“Our critical role has included the formation of and concept behind the integrated project delivery team model, which brings together technical, commercial, and risk advisory partners to form a team which works together in a seamless fashion to help enable this project to proceed.

“While our role in helping establish the innovative North East Link State Tolling Corporation will pave the way for a novel template to transform how state governments fund and deliver transport projects, as well as potentially other infrastructure projects and core assets into the future.”

Integrated Infrastructure was also a finalist in the 2022 Advisory Excellence award for its work on the New Footscray Hospital project.

“The New Footscray Hospital project is the single biggest health infrastructure investment in Victoria’s history. It will transform health services in Melbourne’s booming west, where demand for services is expected to more than double over the next two decades,” said Konidaris.

“Our critical role has included advisory services across the planning, procurement, financial close and construction phases of the project - an end-to-end service every step of the way of this exciting and critical project.”
