The election of the Australian Labor Party to Federal Government earlier this year has triggered a second Federal Budget for the 2022-23 financial year handed down on Tuesday 25 October 2022.
As expected, measures focused on multinationals are the centrepiece of the updated 2022-23 Federal Budget with the Government also indicating their intentions with respect to some, but not all, of the former Government's announced but unenacted measures. Amidst a backdrop of rising cost of living pressures no changes have been made to existing personal tax rates and the already legislated stage 3 tax cuts will continue to apply.
