About Sue

Sue is PwC Australia’s Assurance business leader and a member of the firm’s Management Leadership Team.  She leads our 2800-strong Assurance team including our audit business which provides assurance over our clients’ financial statement reporting to build trust in the capital markets. Our Assurance team also provides confidence to our clients on the issues that matter to them, including sustainability and climate reporting, cyber and data security, risk, controls, and regulatory assurance, major transformation programs and digital trust.

A values-led leader of some of PwC Australia’s largest listed company audits, Sue cares deeply about the experience of her clients and her people. She is passionate about audit quality and brings to her role a deep technical expertise, having spent three years as a partner in PwC’s national accounting technical team. Sue also champions new technology and our Sydney-based Audit Innovation hub with its team of data scientists, modellers, AI and natural language programmers who sit alongside our audit teams to build innovative solutions for our clients. 

Prior to her current role, Sue was PwC’s Managing Partner, Sydney, responsible for driving growth, and client and community impact in that market. She also spent 2 years as PwC Australia’s People leader, inspiring our teams to follow their passions, try new things and achieve their potential. 

Sue's commitment to the community and her business acumen are reflected in her external appointments as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Sydney, Board member and Honorary Treasurer of the European Australian Business Council, and her commitment to support and empower women leaders as a member of Chief Executive Women.
