Opportunity

This international not-for-profit organisation was undergoing a significant transformation program to build a sustainable operating model. This was in response to an increasingly challenging external environment, whilst at the same time facing challenges with its local Australian fundraising and operations.  

Streamlined operations and robust data insights were identified as key to anchor their work and deliver high impact.

As a first step, the organisation was looking to identify their key data, reporting and analytics business needs, and build a capability roadmap to successfully deliver on these priority business needs. 

Solution

Set the strategic direction for data across the enterprise and helped plan its ‘future state’ in terms of key data capabilities required:

  • Rapidly surfaced the real data, reporting, and analytics business needs in high demand across the organisation 

  • Prioritised effort and investment with a clear transformation roadmap to uplift capability, aligned to PwC’s best practice data transformation capability model

  • Identified the key functions and roles required for the data and analytics team to deliver the core capabilities required

  • Worked with the leadership team to define their enterprise mission and vision for data to guide execution against their transformation roadmap

  • Mentored members of the leadership team to help maximise transformation outcomes

  • Alignment and mobilisation within the leadership team and across the organisation on the data transformation program with clear and consistent messages communicated
