私は2015年PwCオーストラリア法人メルボルン事務所に入所しました。現在はファイナンシャル・サービス・アシュアランス部門で主にスーパーアニュエーション（オーストラリアの法律で義務的な年金積立制度）ファンドの財務、内部統制、コンプライアンス監査を手掛けています。他にも、金融業界以外の日本企業の外部・内部監査や、NPOへのアドバイザリー、国境を越えるグループ監査などを経験してきました。

異国で日本人・日本と深いかかわりがあるグローバル人材としての価値を実感してみませんか。

私は2016年にPwCあらた有限責任監査法人の東京事務所へ入所し、2017年7月にPwCオーストラリア法人メルボルン事務所に現地採用として転籍しました。もともとメルボルンで生まれ育ち、大学もメルボルンで卒業した身としては「帰省」したという感覚でした。

メルボルン事務所では主にリスク・コントロールアドバイザリー業務を担当しています。クライアントが見据えたリスク、もしくは我々が洗い出した様々なリスクに対しどのように内部統制やガバナンスを強化できるかアドバイスする業務にあたり、どうすればよりクライアントに安心・トラスト（信用）を提供できるかを日々模索しています。

PwCオーストラリアJSDには2017年入所当時から在籍しています。最初はジュニアメンバーとしてのサポートが多かったですが、実務経験を積むにつれだんだんと役割も変わっていき、日系クライアントと関わる機会も増えました。駐在員の方には、異国でも同じ日本人と働けるということに安心していただけて、より良い関係を築けていると感じています。それだけでもすでに価値を生み出している実感を得られる環境ですが、加えて実務で得た経験をクライアントに提供できるとなるとより一層自身の価値を感じることができ、日々やりがいや刺激を感じています。

豪州でもユニークな都市パースでチャレンジしています！

私のキャリアは銀行員としてスタート、PwC Japanに数年在籍した後、総合商社で働いていました。キャリアの分岐点となる30歳半ばで改めて自分の価値を最大限に発揮出来る場所、そして海外でも一からチャレンジしたいという気持ちから、PwC オーストラリア、パース事務所のディールズチームに現地採用として転職しました。現在は、石油やガス、マイニング、再生可能エネルギーの案件を中心としたバリュエーションおよびモデリング業務を行っています。

パース事務所にいる日本人は現時点で私一人で、私のチームはイギリス、ロシア、パキスタン、スリランカ、ジンバブエと多国籍なメンバーで構成されています。夫々の文化や考え方の違いに刺激を受けながら、チームみんなで和気あいあいと仕事をしております。また、オーストラリアの各都市（シドニー、メルボルン、ブリスベン）のJSDメンバーとも密にコミュニケーションを取りながらクライアントのサポートを行っています。

Exposure to a diversity of thinking with the right support fuels personal and professional growth. It's also fun! In PwC Consulting, I get to experience this every day and the Japan Service Desk (JSD) supports that.

Thanks for reading my profile. I'm a Manager in the Cloud & Digital Consulting team, focusing on technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and technology deals support. I'm also full Japanese, born and raised in Australia.

I joined PwC's Technology Consulting division as a Graduate in early 2017. My decision to join hinged on 3 reasons:

1. I wanted to commence my career in consulting, while leveraging my business/technical background.

2. I connected with every single person I interacted with during my interview process. In particular, the Director that interviewed me was down-to-earth, curious and genuinely felt like he was rooting for my success.

3. I found meaning in learning alongside a cohort of like-minded Graduates.

During my time at PwC, I have been fortunate to support various clients on a diverse range of projects, working with my colleagues across Deals, Strategy Consulting, Risk Consulting, Finance Consulting, Data and Analytics, Assurance, Energy Transition and Legal. I've also worked closely with colleagues from PwC US, India, and Japan.

Because PwC has such a wide variety of teams, with the right attitude and some luck, you'll be able to develop a broad range of skills. One of the key skills that I've been fortunate to develop is my bilingual business language skills. JSD has been instrumental to me fine tuning my business Japanese, which I value as an edge in my career. If developing into a well-rounded Japanese bilingual professional is on your agenda, PwC / JSD is a great choice.

Starting a career with the opportunity to grow a diverse range of networks and both widen and deepen my skill set

As a 2022 Tax (Payroll Advisory and Operations) Graduate, I have been incredibly fortunate to begin my career with a multitude of opportunities to learn from and connect with like-minded people, grow my networks and develop and widen my skill set. When I was a University student, I was keen to work at a company that provided the diversity in choice to try new things, where I could learn from the best and also leverage my existing skill set. My role as a Payroll Advisory and Operations Graduate and JSD member provides this breadth and depth.

The JSD allows me to grow my networks and learn alongside and from some of the top business leaders from Consulting to Deals, supporting Japanese Business and Australian business alike. Everyday brings opportunities to learn something new and being curious and always asking questions has helped me to get deeply involved with working with Japanese businesses on their Payroll. It also provides a great opportunity to hone my Japanese business language skills and understand more about the Japanese market, providing me an edge in my career.
