Below we outline the types of outsourcing services and cloud computing services that we may use in delivering services. Given the breadth of our business, there may be circumstances where our outsourcing and cloud computing capabilities may differ from that described on this webpage. Where this is the case, we will generally provide you with supplementary information as we engage with you.

Outsourced Services

Outsourced service on this website means a service involved in outsourcing a material business activity (being one which has a significant role in the quality, timeliness or scale of our services) to a third party, but excluding internal operational activities or activities that merely support our services, such as record storage, software application hosting or informational reference sources.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Service Delivery Center (Manila) Limited	Philippines	Services include audit procedures and services to support administrative functions for our immigration services (also see https://www.pwc.com.au/immigration.html).
PricewaterhouseCoopers IT Services Limited (PwCITS) and its subsidiaries	PwCITS and its subsidiaries provide support across the PwC Network Firms. PwCITS is based out of the UK, but work could be undertaken through its subsidiaries and other PwC Network Firms. For a list of where the PwC Network Firms are located, see PwC offices.	Shared services include back-office IT network and infrastructure services.

Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing on this website means computing resources that are usually provided by a third party over the internet, including on-demand access to networks, servers, data storage, databases, software and applications.

PwC Australia uses third party cloud providers to support us in providing our services and to help provide, run and manage our internal IT systems. The servers powering and facilitating that cloud infrastructure are located in secure data centres around the world and data may be stored in any one of them. Further details of these providers are included below.

Core Cloud Computing Providers

The following cloud computing providers provide cloud services that are a core part of PwC’s operations infrastructure firmwide, and some of these platforms underpin a variety of the software applications that we use in our client engagements. In addition to the cloud providers storage capabilities and controls, PwC has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security designed to protect client information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.

Microsoft Inc, providing Azure data hosting services and Office365 productivity software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Sharepoint.	Australia (Australia East, Australia Southeast)	Data that is entered into applications hosted on Azure will be processed and rest in the Azure environment in the indicated regions. Data that is entered into Office365 applications is processed and rest in the Azure environment in the indicated regions. Storage and accessibility is subject to Microsoft security standards, see Microsoft’s website for further information such as SOC2, ISO27001, IRAP
Google Inc, providing the Google Cloud Platform	Singapore, Germany and the US	Data that is entered into applications hosted on the Google Cloud Platform is transferred to, and rest in the platform’s data servers, which are in one or more of the indicated regions depending on the application. Storage and accessibility are subject to Global Cloud security standards, see website for further information and SOC2, ISO27001, IRAP.
Amazon Web Services, providing data hosting services	Australia (Sydney)	Data that is entered into applications hosted on Amazon Web Services is processed and rest in servers in the indicated regions. Storage and accessibility are subject to AWS security standards, see AWS website for further information.
PricewaterhouseCoopers IT Services Limited (PwCITS) and its subsidiaries, providing IT infrastructure and IT support services, including data centres and hosting services	Singapore, Germany and the US	Data that is entered into applications hosted on the data centres is transferred to and rest in the servers provided by PwCITS and its subsidiaries, which are located in one or more of the indicated locations, depending on the application. Data that is entered into applications hosted on the hosting services is transferred to and rest in public cloud hosting environments of PwCITS or its subsidiaries, in one or more of the indicated locations depending on the application. Storage controls are attested to under SOC2 and ISO27001.
