Effective EPM - how to use information to create competitive advantage
Business leaders are seeking better management information that is complete and accurate, and current and timely. As such, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), in its many forms, has become a hot topic with many executives across the globe.
We estimate 50% of Australian companies have installed some form of EPM programme in an attempt to make sense of the vast amount of data they possess, yet despite this, many aren't satisfied with the results. Very often, initiatives to set up a EPM programme fall short of their objectives.
Our experience shows that a good EPM programme is not a simple technical fix or mere adjustment to the information management programme. It's a new way of using information to get things done. It represents significant change for an organisation, so success requires a strategy-based approach, strong leadership and sensitive change management skills. This paper offers insights to help win support and overcome resistance.
